Mr. Robert Clarke, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), said that there is an urgent need for a total change in the nation’s Constitution. He made this statement during his appearance on Channels Television’s weekend political show, Sunday Politics, where he warned that there might be consequences if the issue was not taken seriously.
Mr. Robert decried the level of poverty and unemployment, which he said, could set the nation on fire in the next few years if nothing was done. He also said that the crop of political elites in the country has no other option than to support a new Constitution.
He believes that having a new Constitution is the right thing for the nation if it must tackle the numerous challenges facing it. On the anti-corruption war of the Federal Government, he noted that the President Buhari administration has made some progress but more needed to be done.
