Ruthless Leicester City beat Southampton Nine Goals to Nil

Leicester City beat Southampton by nine goals away from home at the St. Mary’s stadium. With that win, Leicester set a number of records including:

  • Most away win in the history of Premier League
  • Joint biggest win in the history of Premier League

Leicester scored their first goal of the match in the opening ten minutes with Ben Chilwell putting the ball in the back of the Southampton net. Two minutes later, Ryan Bertrand conceded a red card for Southampton with a reckless challenge on a Leicester City player and that red card was too costly for Southampton. Leicester started banging in the goals from that moment and were able to score five in the first half despite missing some chances. They continued their scoring in the second half with Jamie Vardy and Ayoze Perez
scoring hat tricks each.
