Manchester United End Liverpool’s Winning Streak

Manchester united battled Liverpool on Sunday 20th October at Old Trafford. Liverpool tried to extend their winning streak to 18 games while Manchester United seek to end their winless streak. Even though Manchester United were not in their best form, the match seemed a bit difficult for Liverpool to win because Liverpool boss, Klopp, has never won Manchester United at Old Trafford since he took over at Liverpool. He had played five games there, drawing four and losing one.

The match started with Liverpool pressuring Manchester United but United caught them on the counter and Rashford put the ball into the back of the net just 9 minutes before half time. Mane also put the ball into the back of the net but his goal was ruled out because the ball touched his arm before he scored the goal.

In the second half, United concentrated more on defense and counter attacking Liverpool when the win back the ball. Liverpool substitute Lallana scored the only goal for Liverpool in the 85th minute when he put Robertson’s low cross into the back of the net.
