Manchester City battled Liverpool at Anfield, a place where Aguero has never scored before. Manchester City conceded two goals in thirteen minutes and the hopes of coming out with a point died instantly. The first goal came from Fabinho in the sixth minute. Manchester City was attacking and then they felt they should have gotten a penalty as a Liverpool player handled the ball in his own penalty area but the referee ignored them and Liverpool started a quick counter and scored immediately.
Mohammed Salah scored the second goal in the thirteenth minute after he headed Andy Robertson’s cross down into the net giving Bravo no chance to stop that. Manchester City had a couple of chances but couldn’t score as the Liverpool defense gave them little chance to shoot.
Sadio Mane made it 3-0 in the second half and that surely secured all three points for Liverpool and later on, Bernado Silva scored what I would say is a consolation goal for Manchester city.
It finished, Liverpool 3 – 1 Manchester City
Pep Guardiola remains without a win in all his visits at Anfield and with that win Liverpool are nine points clear off Manchester City in the league table.
